Al Cho MBE Award
The International MBE Advisory Committee is proud to present the Al Cho MBE Award at every international MBE conference in honor of Al Cho, "Father of MBE", recognizing individuals who have made fundamental contributions to the science and technology of MBE.
Previous recipients are T. Foxon, Y. Horikoshi and A. Gossard.
Student MBE Awards
In 2010 these awards are established for students who present their work as speakers or poster presenters. Presentations will be judged at the conference and the best two papers will be honored by awards of 500$ each. Your contribution is eligible for the Student Award if your PhD exam did not take place before March 2010.
Please indicate if you want to enter your contribution for the student award when submitting your abstract, and submit a short endorsement by advisor as a separate pdf-file to studentaward@mbe2010.de.
Young Investigator MBE Award
Also in 2010, the conference establishes an award for excellent work in MBE and MBE-related topics (as stated in the scope of MBE2010) that has been conducted by researchers of up to 38 years of age. Criteria are scientific excellence and relevance of the work to molecular beam epitaxy.
